Comal Community Band

About the Band

Founded in 1981 by longtime music educator Larry Correll, the Comal Community Band brings together musicians from New Braunfels and the surrounding Hill Country to celebrate the joy of live concert music. A volunteer, nonprofit ensemble, the band performs throughout the year at community festivals, parades, and cultural events—including Wurstfest, the Downtown Town Lighting, and Fourth of July celebrations—continuing a proud tradition of civic spirit and musical fellowship. Under the direction of Beth Bronk, the group’s diverse membership spans generations and backgrounds, united by a shared passion for performing marches, show tunes, big-band favorites, classical works, and music that honors New Braunfels’ rich German-Texan heritage. The Comal Community Band proudly serves as a Musical Ambassador for its hometown and an enduring example of how community and music come together in harmony.
